Chipside receives Queen’s Award from Lord-Lieutenant of Wiltshire
On July 17th Mrs Sarah Rose Troughton, Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Wiltshire, traveled to Chipside’s offices in Callow Park to present us with our coveted Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Innovation 2019.
Yesterday our CEO Paul Moorby was presented with the official award and scroll.
Paul Moorby OBE, CEO of Chipside, said: “Winning a Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Innovation was a fantastic achievement for our company and welcome recognition for the hard work and results I have seen from my team in recent years,” says Paul.
“It was a great honour to receive the award from Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Wiltshire and invite new Wiltshire Council leader Philip Whitehead and other council representatives to our offices at Callow Park to celebrate together. We want to continue promoting innovation in Wiltshire for many years to come and look forward to working with other local companies to realise the area’s potential.”
“The award would never have been possible without the hard work of Chipside’s 50 employees and the continued support of friends of the company. After the award ceremony we celebrated with a lunch buffet and very special cake – baked by the mother of one of our staff members!”
Ahead of presenting the Queen’s Award to Paul Moorby, Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Wiltshire commented on the impact Chipside’s award win would have on Wiltshire:
“These awards are only made to outstanding British companies and are the highest accolade for business success. Lot of businesses do apply, but very few are awarded one. As a forerunner in the industry it is very good for the company and very good for the staff, but it is also extremely good for Wiltshire.”
The Queen's Awards for Enterprise is an awards programme for British businesses and other organisations that excel in three categories; International Trade, Innovation and Sustainable Development, with an additional Award for Enterprise Promotion (QAEP), awarded to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to promoting and enhancing enterprise among UK entrepreneurs and companies.
