introduction

The Chipside team has a founding principle - to supply reliable, affordable IT products and services to UK businesses whether large or small. Its founders have a proven track record in delivering IT projects on time and to budget across a range of disciplines. Their customers have ranged from small private companies to large UK Local Authorities.

our mission

Our purpose is to provide a comprehensive, quality,  affordable IT service to our customers,  whether large or small.  Our business is to help our customers to make their investment in IT systems work for, not against, their business needs.  Our values are to work with our customers with integrity, to earn our place as their trusted, valued partner and to constantly guard against becoming complacent.

our structure

We have three main divisions -  IT operations, technical support and software development.  Each division is represented at the highest level of our organisation by a Director with a position on the main Board.

our management

Our Managing Director, Paul Moorby heads and represents the operations and technical support teams at Board level.  Our software development team is headed by Richy Clements, our Director Research Development.  Both founding Directors are determined to add to the management team at the earliest opportunity.

our systems

We develop using only industry  accepted standard software development tools.  Our main software systems are developed using standard Microsoft development tools.  Our database of choice is Microsoft SQL 2000 for storing and processing large volumes of data.  We work closely with our hardware partners and use their approved software tools in our products.

our references

We recognise that our abilities are best represented by successfully completed projects.  Many of our customers have agreed to provide references for our work, including accepting site visits from our potential customers.

our expertise

We act as main contractors for complex projects, bringing diverse specialist teams together to achieve the project goals.  We manage projects on behalf our customers. Project stages include business process analysis, specification preparation, contract negotiation, project monitoring and finally project completion certification. Our clients often call upon our team for rapid application design. Software development completed to tight deadlines. As mobile computing specialists,  we have reseller agreements in place with PsionTeklogix, Datalogic, Intermec, Petard and others.  Our IT specialists work with businesses and industries to provide technical support upon demand.  We try hard to work with customers as a natural extension to their in-house team to help fill short term gaps in personnel or expertise.
